EURO2020 ended
Italy won the Football European Championship after beating England 3-2 with penalties in the London final after 1-1 regular time and overtime.
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin handed over the EC trophy to Giorgio Chiellini, team captain of the Italian national team. The Italians have overtaken France with their second EC title, the ranking led by Spain and Germany, which have won three trophies each.
UEFA selected the Italian national team goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma as the best player in the European Championship
The EURO 2020 best scorer were Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Patrik Schick of the Czech Republic, scoring 5-5 goals in the tournament.
