Puskás Arena, which was handed over last November, won the vote for the 2019 Stadium of the Year. According to the competition announced by the football venues website, stadiumdb.com, the top five facilities in 19 countries were selected by voters.

According to the portal's report, 30,632 votes were cast from 107 countries around the world, almost half of which, nearly 14,955,000 votes were for the stadium in Budapest. According to the official communication, the facility, inaugurated on 15 November, received votes from all over the world, including Indonesia, Argentina, Poland, Great Britain, the United States and the Philippines.

The voters could rate the final 5 stadiums on a scale of 5 stars, and the stadium of the year award was awarded on the basis of a summary of the votes and the opinion of expert architects.

Only stadiums that were inaugurated last year and can accommodate at least 10,000 spectators, were included in the list. Hungary was also represented by the MOL Arena in Dunaszerdahely. Voting was closed on 15 March.
