UEFA has completed the 2020-21 Draw for the League of Nations in Amsterdam. The Hungarian national team is in the B-league's 3rd group. The opponents will be the Russian, Turkish and Serbian teams, and are expected to compete later this autumn. Through the League of Nations it will still be possible to qualify for the next major international tournament, which will be the 2022 World Cup.
The UEFA Nations League was launched in 2018, following the first season, the method of the competition was changed. The number of teams in League A, B and C have increased to 16, in League D only 7 teams will participate. The Hungarian national team is thus promoted to the B league and, if it wins the group, it could be promoted to the A League, joining the top 16 teams in Europe.
